Our story

Merkur, with a tradition of more than 35 years, is known as a manufacturer of heating elements that offers quality, safety and reliability. The company’s first steps were a small workshop, with improvised equipment and a small production capacity.

After the end of the war in Kosovo, guided by a clear vision of a modern product built with professionalism and to European standards, the company moved to Pristina, into a modern factory with top-quality European equipment.

Technology

Merkur works with new technology, on production machinery from Sweden and Germany, specifically from Kanthal and FK Industrieofenbau. Raw materials are sourced from Europe’s most reputable companies through authorised distributors for the Balkan region.

Quality

Quality is one of our core values. That is why rigorous electrical and physical testing is a central part of our manufacturing process. Since 2013, Merkur has held the German VDE quality certificate for the production of electric water heating elements.

Speed and flexibility

Another value we take pride in is agility. Through intensive, open communication with customers, we quickly understand the problem, design a practical solution and deliver the final product, a fast and cost-effective process for the customer.

When our customers need heating solutions beyond our standard production and cannot find satisfactory answers on the market, we offer creative solutions specific to their applications. That is why in recent years we have started producing aluminium melting furnaces, dental furnaces and furnaces for the HoReCa industry, built and commissioned entirely by our own staff.
