Heating elements for industry
Band and strip heaters
Merkur manufactures band and strip heaters used for contact heating of cylindrical metal parts and moulds in the plastic and rubber industry. They are also used for indirect heating of fluids through the walls of reservoirs or pipes.
We manufacture two types: a wire wound on a mica plate and insulated between two further mica plates, or a wire inserted into a ceramic structure. Both are protected by a highly heat-resistant stainless steel sheath.
We offer solutions not only for the best-known manufacturers of such appliances, but also for new manufacturers, and we advise you on how to reach the optimal heating solution for the medium and operating temperature of your appliances.
